How to reach Split

Croatia extends from the furthest eastern edges of the Alps in the north-west to the Pannonian lowlands and the banks of the Danube in the east; its central region is covered by the Dinara mountain range, and its southern parts extend to the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Along the Adriatic coast prevails a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with an overwhelming number of sunny days, dry and hot summers, mild and humid winters.

With the construction of modern motorways, driving in Croatia has become more comfortable and much quicker. For Italian tourists, the best route is through Rijeka. From Rijeka, you can get to Split by first taking the motorway Rijeka-Zagreb, and than switch to the Zagreb-Split motorway at "Bosiljevo 1". You can also take the local highway, Rijeka-Senj-Zadar-Šibenik-Split. We advise the exit through Boraja from Šibenik to Split.
